To mark 15th anniversary of the decease of Secretary Ronald Brown, whose plane crashed nearby Dubrovnik, US Embassy in Zagreb, the Croatian President’s office, Croatian Government and Croatian Employers Association jointly organized ‘The Brown Forum: US and Southeast European Trade and Investment’. The event hosted more than 200 businessmen and governmental leaders from seven countries in the region and the USA, including President of Crotia Ivo Josipovic, Prime Minister of Croatia Jadranka Kosor, US Ambassador in Croatia HE James B Foley and many other regional governmental officials.
We have talked with Micaela Schweitzer Bluhm, US Embassy’s Regional Economical Coordinator who highlighted that ‘Brown’s forum focus was to improve the attractiveness of Southeast Europe as a destination for foreign investment and trade and to create business partnerships between regional and American businesses'.
